Is she really that tired?

Mya is almost 4 months old. For the last 4 days, she been sleeping 8 hours straight which is a miracle for me! How? Keep her up during the day time, take her out and visit people so they can play with Mya. Usually I go to my parents' house and my mom plays with her all day. But then it drives me nuts when my mom uses her high pitch sounds when she is talking to Mya. What for? Get her all excited? She is a baby mom! I do not want Mya become hard of hearing and have her become miserable in her childhood years like I went through. But on the other hand, it will be fun have a child who is hard of hearing because I know what she will be going through.

Yesterday, I kept Mya up during the day time again (don't get me wrong, I will let her sleep for a little bit), and hoping she would sleep another 8 hours. If Mike does not have to go to work early, he will feed her in the morning before he goes to work so I can sleep a little bit more. Well Mike had to go to work early this morning so I knew I had to wake up early to feed her. Well, my bed vibrate really hard and I knew it was time to get up. I looked at the clock to see what time it was, it was 11 A.M.! I thought there was no way Mya slept for 11 hours straight. I had to asked Mike if he fed her before he went to work. And he said no! I was total shock and then I thought maybe she wasn't feeling well. I felt her head with my back of my hand and felt cool. So I checked her fever under her armpit to make sure and she had a normal temperature. So maybe she was catching up her sleep because I been a mean mommy making her stay up during the day time? My cousin Jen said that it could be a "grow spurt". We shall see.

After I fed her at 11 this morning, she was still sleeping so she went back to bed. I was a little tired so I decided to take a nap with her. Before I know it, she slept another 5 hours straight! I was shocked and I was thinking "oh crap, that means she is going to be up all night long!" Well right now it is 3 in the morning and she is still sleeping. She went to bed at midnight. But now I cannot sleep. I got my hours mess up.
